Post|Production World (P|PW) Online gathers international renown designers and editors around the world to share their expertise and real-world experiences through LIVE, interactive video sessions. We are pleased to announce our Keynotes, Lawrence Sher, ASC, and Geoff Haley, SOC, who’ve worked on the Academy Awards winning film, JOKER. They will host an intimate interview to hear how their roles worked together to further the storytelling and the Director’s vision while producing JOKER.

Lawrence Sher is known for his work on Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), The Hangover (2009) and Garden State (2004). Most recently, he worked on the Academy Awards winning film, JOKER, directed by Todd Philips. Geoffrey Haley is known for his work on Furious 7 (2015), American Hustle (2013) and Star Trek Beyond (2016). He also worked as a camera operator for the films, Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), Avengers Infinity War (2018), and the Academy Awards winning film, JOKER, directed by Todd Philips.

Jason Levine, Principal Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, travels the globe inspiring and educating users about Creative Cloud, focusing on video, audio and mobile workflows. Levine has conducted training sessions for many top broadcast corporations in Europe and Asia including BBC, RTL and SVT. Prior to Adobe, Jason was a full-time recording engineer working in studios coast-to-coast, engineering hundreds of recordings in a multitude of genres, prompting the formation of BoodahJooMusic Publishing. Shortly thereafter, in combining years of songwriting and performance, he began laying down the foundation for a children’s music project entitled Just Play Music™. Since 2003, Jason has presented to more than 400,000 people, from Syracuse to Singapore and everywhere in between.

Cinematographer, Director Editor Robert Dalva ACE Speaks at SF Cutters

Robert Dalva ACE is a noted American film editor. Filmography as editor includes The Black Stallion, Raising Cain, Jumanji, Jurassic Park III and Hidalgo, Raising Cain, October Sky, and The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio. In addition to editing, he also directed movies including The Black Stallion Returns and as a Cinematographer for the TV Series Nash Bridges as well as others
Mr. Dalva brings in depth insights to the art of framing the image, and storytelling with cutting rhythms, intensity, and surprise.

“Sweet Blues, A Film About Mike Bloomfield” Review Written by Steven Jenkins

2013 You know, I like sweet blues… I want to be singing. I want to be sweet,” said music legend Mike Bloomfield of his searing, lyrical guitar playing. His awesome instrumental prowess is on full display in this raucous documentary celebrating the legacy of a hard-living, finger-fretting renegade. Described by fellow icon Al Kooper as “not just another white boy [but] someone who truly knew what the blues were about,” Bloomfield drew on African American tradition while burnishing his licks with a radical compositional approach reflecting the social and cultural upheaval of the 1960s. Bloomfield passed away in 1981, but his sterling musicality as the embodiment of Chicago blues lives on through the work of acolytes such as Carlos Santana, B.B. King and Charlie Musselwhite, all of whom testify to the master’s enduring influence in Bob Sarles’ lovingly crafted film. Sweet, indeed.-
